Warning signs
What should you mention?
- Water beneath a sink, toilet, appliance, wall, or ceiling
- A toilet that runs, rocks, leaks, or will not refill normally
- Low pressure at one fixture or throughout the home
- A leaking, stuck, or corroded shutoff valve
- Banging, whistling, or vibration when water runs
Control the water if it is safe.
Close the nearest fixture shutoff when possible. If the source is unknown or water is spreading, the main shutoff may be safer. Avoid wet electrical equipment and unsafe areas.
Heat and mineral wear matter.
Outdoor components face long Arizona heat exposure, while mineral accumulation can affect cartridges, valves, fixtures, and connections. Mention whether the symptom is indoors, outdoors, or near the slab.
